SA results questions
So I got a copy of the SA results. To me, I think our biggest problem is the morphology even though motility is low.
Volume 4.4 mil Count 23 mil Motility 38% 1-2 acceptable progression
Morphology: normal oval 2% amorphous 68% large head 2% small head 2% tapered 4% pyriform tapered 1% double tail 1% coiled tail 1% pin head 17%
What is amorphous????

Re: SA results questions
Yes, the morphology is your issue. He's got 2% normal shapes (they want 30% normal shapes). That's about what my DH has. But don't worry, I've gotten pregnant a multitude of times with IUI (which is pretty simple, FM me if you have questions). Also, if you did IVF (which would probably would not do initially if you have no IF issues yourself) it will be a breeze to take care of Jason's issue.
FM me if you have questions, or you can call me...I'll give you my number in FM if you're interested.
Also, here is a link to a site about understanding an SA. Amorphous just means that its abnormally shaped in one way or another.

Re: SA results questions
This is what I could find.
slighty amorphous, with a head diameter of 2,0 - 2,5 um, with slight abnormalities in the head’s shape but with normal acrosome.
severely amorphous, with no acrosome at all and those with an acrosome smaller than 30% or larger than 70% of the sperm head; completely abnormal shapes also are put into this category.

Re: SA results questions
Morphology is the main issue with this SA. The motility is slightly below normal but not terrible. A repeat SA should be done and your DH might want to start on some herbal supplements and change any unhealthy habits.

Re: SA results questions
Thank you ladies for your comments. I am going this weekend to get DH some new vitamins & we are all set for our ultrasound on the 29th. I am going to schedule his SA for exactly 4 weeks after the first one & then hopefully by May we will have a plan of action.
