SAHM/WAHM's - what do you eat for breakfast/lunch?
I'm not really a SAHM but I'm on maternity leave and I've really been struggling with eating healthy.
If I'm making DS pancakes, I will have pancakes, if I'm making him pasta with butter, I eat pasta with butter, etc., etc.
I find myself snacking on goldfish, fruit snacks, and everything else just because we are in the house.
So, how do you keep yourself motivated to eat healthy and what do you do to make it easier so you are not making 2 meals at every meal time?

Re: SAHM/WAHM's - what do you eat for breakfast/lunch?
I like to eat the same thing over and over and over again
I have a Weight Watchers bagel with WW creamcheese for breakfast.
For lunch I have turkey, WW Swiss, and tomato on a potato roll.
I usually have a 90 calorie Fiber One bar in between as a snack and two cups of coffee. Sometimes an apple if my boys left any for me
ETA: When I just had Jack I did what you are doing. I ate all of his leftovers. Made things for him and then ate the same things myself bc it was easy. Now that I'm on WW I can't do that anymore.

Breakfast is not so hard for me --- low carb English Muffins or Bagel Flats, Oatmeal, eggs & toast.
Lunch is always difficult for me, but I do try to eat yogurt w/fruit and granola, a small sandwich, leftovers, salad.

I dont eat that much when I'm home. its too much work for me to cook meals just for me. By the time I get a free minute, the last thing I want to do is cook or eat. I'll just eat a little here and there, potato bread, roll, fruit sometimes.

Re: SAHM/WAHM's - what do you eat for breakfast/lunch?
I was the exact same way. Being on WW I realized that I can't keep eating their food. So any leftovers I throw out (I do have some moments of weakness though).
My favorite breakfast that I have almost everyday is Blueberry Oatmeal with a teaspoon of peanut butter and 1/2 a banana.
For lunch I have either a lean cuisine or smart ones. I eat the same time they do so that way I am not tempted to eat their food.
As far as snacks, I started to buy the healthier kinds to give them, like whole grain crackers, etc... So now if I have a few I don't feel so guilty.
Good luck!

Re: SAHM/WAHM's - what do you eat for breakfast/lunch?
I usually eat the same thing for bfast - whole wheat waffles w organic PB&J. Sometimes I'll have eggs w bacon...sometimes oatmeal w toast.
For lunch it's usually leftovers or something out if we're out & about.
My daughter eats the same as me...I don't make separate meals for her.

Re: SAHM/WAHM's - what do you eat for breakfast/lunch?
When I work from home, I always have the same thing for breakfast - a lowfat multigrain english muffin with light laughing cow cheese - fills me up and in WW world, it is low points, only 2.
I snack on fruit - we buy fruit in bulk at Costco. Right now we have apples, bananas and pears. If my sweet tooth is in high gear, I'll have a mini-luna bar for a snack.
For lunch I usually have a whole wheat pita with hummus and falafel, or hard boiled egg, or with tuna.

Breakfast: Chocolate Protein carb free drink within 30 minutes I am awake
Mid morning: banana or 1 cup Special K
Lunch: Soup and pretzels or Leftover from another meal (I cook for 2-3 meals everytime I cook so I don't keep cooking) or 3 eggs or toasted turkey sandwich with light bread

Re: SAHM/WAHM's - what do you eat for breakfast/lunch?
My trick lately is to eat my meals with him. I wouldn't feed my baby junk, but if he sees me eating it, he wants it, so he's a great motivator. I feel good about giving him a taste of something healthy I'm eating, like eggplant, or avocado, or chicken dinner from last night.
I do sneak in a biscotti or chocolate every now and then (when DS isn't watching)
breakfast is usually yogurt and fruit with DS If he's still hungry I give him puffs, and I grab a muffin or toast if I am.
Lunch is a sandwich I pick up on our walk, sometimes its leftovers. But its usually something I feel okay giving DS a taste of if he's curious about what I'm eating. I'll usually break off some chicken for him, or a piece of avacod or a little swipe of hummus on a pita.
I'm a SAHM, but I don't really stay at home We walk a lot, it does help keep the boredom at bay.

Re: SAHM/WAHM's - what do you eat for breakfast/lunch?
Im a part time SAHM now..i find my diet is terrible since i stopped working full time. When i worked full time i had such a routine with getting a good bkfast, having lunch,a snack, etc.
Now..im lucky if i have 5 min to make something for myself.
In the morning i start out with tea and a granola bar of some sort; then maybe a yogurt or banana when giving dS his cereal/fruit.
lunch..ehhh..sometimes is a quick cup of noodles or soup,
i usually have a cup of coffee or 2 in between during the day.
dinner is my biggest meal.
I really need to work on this and include some more fruits/veggies in there..even if its just snacking on carrots or fruits..its better than what im eating now.

Re: SAHM/WAHM's - what do you eat for breakfast/lunch?
I almost always have egg & cheese on a roll or toast for bfast. Landon either has the same as me... or pancakes, french toast sticks, cereal, or waffles. We both eat a banana or share one every morning.
Lunch I have sandwiches. Coldcuts on a roll or toasted bread. (turkey & cheese, roastbeef & cheese) or PB&J sandwich. And I usually eat chips with it.. trying to stop that. Landon usually eats yogurt and fruit every day for lunch. And sometimes part of a sandwich too.
Snacks- we have goldfish, raisins, string cheese, fruit, cookies, animal crackers, dry cereal.
