Salary question

The VP and I have been emailing each other back & forth to set up an interview. He asks me my salary expectation. I tell him and he asks me to come in for an interview.
Now, should I take this as they can meet this salary? I will be so ****** off if I drive all the way there and they tell me the salary is lower.
What do you think?

Re: Salary question

I don't think they would have you come in for an interview if you were not in the range - salary wise

Re: Salary question

It's hard to say. At this time you have to assume he is understanding your expectations and does not waste your time but that does not mean anything.

My DH went to SEVERAL interviews for a job he did not even apply for. They WANTED him to work for them. Salary was discussed, he was told no problem then when it come down to the offer it was SIGNIFICANTLY lower. They even had somebody else call him to make the offer.

Unfortunately, you cannot assume anything.

I would go.

Usually it's a starting point. they know that you are not out of reach and might offer yoy a little less but who knows about the benefits.
