San Diego Zoo OR Lego Land?

I am trying to put together this trip with DH and DD who will be 13 months at the time of the trip..I have been to the San Diego Zoo but never lego land..IMHO can't we take DD to Bronx Zoo? I know the zoo is beautiful there, went almost 10 years ago, but anyone been to Lego Land?? I know DD won't know, remember, or care either way but for DH and myself I thought LegoLand would be fun..any experience, thoughts, or suggestions??
Thanks!!! Chat Icon

i have never been to lego land but i went to the san diego zoo last year. i LOVED it but there was soooo much walking and it was so hilly that we didn't get to see everything and i was exhausted. i would definitely try lego land. i agree with you - you can always go to the bronx zoo here.

Re: San Diego Zoo OR Lego Land?

We did both last summer with our 2-year old. She was too young for legoland unfortunately. She could go on like 2 rides & it was pricey for admission. We thought it was a waste at that age. The zoo was fantastic for her. We took the bus ride around the zoo (much less walking) & then went to the kids section. I would def recommend that. I would also highly recommend Sea World. DD loved it & they have a cute children's section that is like sesame place (same owners). We did breakfast with the ss characters & it was so fun! The LaJolla aquarium was also good for dd. I love San Diego!

My problem with the San Diego Zoo -- everyone loves it because you can see the animals so well. That is because they are confined in TINY TINY inadequate spaces. They have nowhere to hide, nowhere to run.

That zoo totally depressed me.

So obviously my vote would be for LegoLand.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt that way. I was so excited a few years ago to go the the San Diego Zoo and was SO disappointed. IMO the Bronx Zoo is 100X better!
