Every year I think about those poor children and staff.
Remember to hugs your kids a little tighter and make sure they know just how much you love them.

I saw on the news this morning it was the anniversary.
It's one of those things that I can't think too directly about because I fall apart. To this day I still do.
I have to like shield my brain from it because I just go to a really dark place.
Absolutely horrific.

Yeah, I got the notice on my phone this morning. It takes me to such a terrible headspace. I had had surgery the day before it too, it really really is terrible. I think of those families.

I think about this nearly every day and still get daily emails from organizations the parents founded. I can’t unsubscribe to them, we can’t just turn away because it’s too hard. This could have been any of our kids. I use this event as the benchmark of how disgusting our government with gun and mental health legislation. We can never forget about this. Newtown is really not that far from here.

I feel the same. Today is our anniversary, so I always remember the date. That year DS was in 2nd grade and got sick and I picked him up from school, before the news hit me. I've never been so happy to have my DS at home with me -although sick-, thinking of those other babies and families. Even writing this I cry

I always remember it. My DD was born that year. She was not even 2 weeks old at the time and I remember just hugging and holding her crying while watching the news. Those poor babies...
