i'd be pretty friggen ticked off if i was a fashion icon and i wore a dress that lindsay lohan wore first!
Exactly!! A lot of people on LIF won't wear the same dress to two different weddings/events that may have a guest in common. This is a huge movie premiere.

This not just any movie premier and SHE does not portray just any character - She's Carrie Bradshaw for God's sake. Millions and millions of women followed her every piece of clothing, every accessory, every shoe, EVERYTHING for HOW many years ????
SJP can NOT show up at the NYC premier wearing something that's been worn and photographed before .........
OBVIOUSLY they lied to her b/c they knew the dress would be photographed on her and made a HUGE deal over, and she has ever right to be livid .......
No  are necessary at all -

I have to agree. There's a lot of money and things involved in this. It's a business; it's not just about fashion or the actual gown....

I think given the premise of the show she has every right to be disappointed! She was lied to and that stinks!!
ITA!! This was a huge premiere and she wanted a one of a kind- she deserved that!!

Exactly - Manolo Blahnik gets $500 minimum for a pair of shoes .........Why? B/c SJP made them famous as Carrie - It's not about HER as herself, it's about the multi billion dollar business that has been built around her character and people's association with it -
And for the whole comment about not caring what she looks like as a 'working mother' I'm SURE she means while she's chasing her kid aorund the park on a Saturday afternoon, NOT when she's WORKING -
Most working Mom's don't show up at work looking like they just rolled out of bed -
