Satisfying that appetite!

What does everyone do to satisfy those constant hunger pangs/appetite?

There are some days when I force myself to eat and others when I need to eat all day.
I used to be a veggie, fruit, and grilled chic eater, and now no way can I eat as much of that as I use too. My good for you choices are kind of limited. I keep away from those empty calories 95% of the time though.

What do you guys eat? How much do you eat throughout the day?

Re: Satisfying that appetite!

I eat my regular meals with the family and then I have a little snack here and there when I am hungry. I am trying to be careful what type of foods I eat.

I am not PG-YET! But I am on WW and here are some low fat, healthy things I eat
LF laughing cow soft cheese-yes its pasteurized
hummus-whole wheat pita, pretzels, or celery
LF Babybel cheese-triscuits
Yogurt-they have a high fiber one now that is lower in calories and fat
smoothies made with fat free milk and fruit
Cottage cheese doubles-I like pineapple
I make quesadillas with prepackaged cooked chicken, fat free bean dip on a whole wheat tort. add a little LF shredded cheese and grill like you would grilled cheese

Re: Satisfying that appetite!

honestly....I ate whatever I wanted to. If it was cheez doodles, I ate half a bag. If it was ice cream, I'd eat it for days in a row at night (which the Dr said was ok cuz I don't drink milk).

Real food....I tried to keep it balanced and keep my protein up but there were days I just didn't want to eat anything.

Re: Satisfying that appetite!

I eat my regular meals and snack often - ill have a bowl of cereal or a yogurt for calcium and i love munching on baby carrots - so ill snack on that.
I try to eat a variety of foods and eat small portions of them throughout the day.

There are days where im more hungrier than others - if i don't feel as hungry - i just make sure im well hydrated and drink lots of water.

As my pregnancy has progressed - i seem to have more frequent snacks and i have indulged in just about everything!

Re: Satisfying that appetite!

Well with me it seems that each week I have a new craving and I eat it the entire week. I make sure that if I am craving something I have it because their have been times were I would eat and it didn't statisfy what I wanted and I would end up eating again which I didnt need to do. For me it is really hard at work so I keep fruit their either apples or clemintines since they are in season. I also see what two of the girls in the office keep at their desk if I don't know what I want. I think those days are the worst when I dont know what I want and DH can't seem to understand that I can't just eat anything. As far as dinner goes I lost my taste for veal completely even the smell grosses me out when I cook it for DH (yes I still cook it even though i wont eat it), I never liked chicken but I force myself to eat it when I do make it. I try to make fist once a week and then their is always pasta.
