Saturday or Sunday for home b-day party?
Would you prefer holding your child’s b-day party on a Saturday or Sunday if both were available? It’s at our home, for about 40 people (in backyard). Late-June. Their b-day is during the week, so that's a non-issue.
Pro for having it Sunday is that I have Saturday to prep. Pro to having it Saturday is that I have a day (Sunday) after the party to finish cleaning up/looking at presents with the kids, since I have to work on Monday.
For some reason I’m having a hard time making a decision about what day to do. We did a Saturday last year b/c it was a weekend later, and July 4th was the Sunday so we did the day before.

I agree. Did DD's on Sunday and was EXHAUSTED monday!

I'm a fan of Saturday parties for myself or as a guest. For myself... I can get things done the weekend b4 and/or night b4. After the party if it's late cleaning up no stress about staying up late since it's a Sat.
You have Sun also to finish whatever and just relax b4 the week starts.
As a guest I don't have to worry about getting myself and the children home on time. I can enjoy the party... no worries and relax on Sunday

We did Saturday and it was wonderful having Sunday to "relax", clean up and still have a bit of a weekend...

I am doing Saturday this year for the 1st time.
I loved doing Sunday because I had the day to prepare before.
But doing Saturday will allow me (well DH since I work on weekends) to have time to clean up for Monday.

I agree too.
SAME FOR ME and DDs bday is in June and her real bday is during the week and Ill be doing a Satur.

For me, DH works Sat so we do Sunday. Actually a bunch of our friends and some family work Saturday too. I really like having Sat. to get ready.
