Re: Saving wedding cake

I put mine in a plastic container and then I wrapped it in saran wrap.. I really hope it keeps the ice out!

Re: Saving wedding cake

I really wanted to eat ours the day after the wedding but Dh wanted to save it. So I wrapped it in saran wrap twice then I wrapped it in foil and then I wrapped it in saran wrap again and then one last time in foil and stuck it in the freezer! My cake has fondant on it so I hope that it still tastes yummy in a year because it was delicious the day of the wedding.

Re: Saving wedding cake

mine was just wrapped in layers and layers of foil.. and we saved it for our anniversary and it was just was yummy as we remembered it to be.. my FIL and my dad.. who were totally grossed off by the thought of cake in freezer for a year, went for seconds..
so no worries ladies! it will be yummy! btw the cake was buttercream with cannoli cream and chocolate mousse.. Chat Icon
