saying goodbye at work
So people who aren't in tomorrow are coming to say goodbye today and it starts. . . i am so socially awkward i never know if i am supposed to hug/kiss them goodbye or what i am supposed to do! EEK!
i hate this, one of the reasons i wanted to just go out unexpectedly LOL

Yeah I totally agree -- goodbyes are super awkward! When I left my job last year to move out of town, I hated that last day.
You have the sweetest coworkers, though, who all love you!!! I'm sure they'll be in touch while you're gone, too.

OMG I feel the same way!! I teach and even on the last day of school in June I find it so awkward!!   Sorry, I know I didn't give any helpful advice here!!

.. if your preference is actually to ward off the hugs and kisses, I suggest sitting there with a box of tissues and vitamin c lozenges.. and if anyone comes near you be like "hold on I can't find my Purrel!!" ... That should do the trick!!
