Scare Of My Life
I am in week nine of my pregnancy. I came home today and when I wiped there was a bit of light pink on the TP. I panicked, called my OBGYN and went right in. There was no sono tech there and was examined by the PA. She said it's probably nothing ( I had no cramping at all) and said its very normal during the first trimester. She said if I wanted they can call in a sono tech to ease my mind. I was seen at 7:30 tonight and the babies heartrate was going strong at 179 and she said everything looked great with the baby. She noticed a circle on the sono near my uterus (she mentioned something about the placenta) and said this is where the blood you had is shedding from and its very normal but its no where near the baby. She said I may see no more blood or it can even get worse the next few days with some cramping. She said not to worry but of course I still am. So far no more blood tonight. I took off tomorrow to rest, how stressful!

Yes it can be very stressful. The same exact thing happened to me. I was spotting and they said that was absolutely normal. Im glad your mind was put at ease though.

I bet that you are having a girl. When I was pg with my DD, her hearbeat was about the same...

Really??? Well the weird thing is that for my first reading 3 weeks ago is was 138 then a week later 173 and four days after that 179. Hummm..any real reasoning to that???

So glad that everything is ok and your doctor put your mind at ease. I have been dealing with spotting for the last several days and am waiting on bloodwork to see if everything is ok... I totally know how you feel!!
