Scared - Need Advice *Updated*
I woke up from a nap today to find my underwear wet with blood. I went to the bathroom. I saw a clot about the size of a small gumball come out with more blood.
I called the emergency # for the doctor and spoke to the NP on call. She said to wait an hour and see if the bleeding gets worse or continues heavily. If so, I should go to the ER since its Saturday and they won't be able to see me in the office till Monday.
Its been about 2 hours and I've only had a little bit more bleeding.
I called her again with an update. She said that its up to me. If the bleeding hasn't gotten worse, I can wait till Monday.
Do you think I should go to the ER anyway or wait until Monday?
*Update:
I got to the ER around 7:00 last night. I finally got in for an ultrasound 6 hours later at 1:00 in the morning. It was torture. Based on the ultrasound, I'm measuring about 6 1/2 to 7 weeks ( a little more than I measured on Monday) but there still is no sign of a heartbeat. They want me to follow up with my doctor in 5-7 days to retest my hormone levels and have another sonogram done. So basically, I still have no answers. Since the doctor didn't have my previous bloodwork or sonogram, there was nothing to compare it to. He said he can't tell me that its an abnormal pregnancy, but he can't tell me its normal. I could be fine or it could be the beginning of a miscarriage.
I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

i would go to the ER - especially if i saw a clot. It could be nothing - but if you don't go - you will be worrying all weekend...and that type of worry is NOT good for YOU or the baby!

I know that if it were me in your position, I would be going to the ER. I just wouldn't be able to wait till Monday.

I would go to the ER as well. Without a doubt. I worry a lot, so I would want to know what was going on.

I would go to the ER, if its nothing at least you'll get some peace of mind so you don't have to wait to go to your doctors office. You're in my prayers

im so sorry you are going threw all of this. But just remember that 6.5 weeks for some people could still be early to see a heartbeat.
