Scared but trying to find some hope UPDATED
Hi girls. I am about six weeks and ended up at the Dr. today because I had some light brown spotting. I thought that maybe the spotting was from the progesterone suppositories. The sonogram revealed only a sac and the Dr. sent me for a beta draw and I will repeat it on Sunday. Until then it is a waiting game. I have slight cramping and a little red blood. Has anyone had this happen and maybe everything turned out okay? TIA
Update: Thanks for all the kind words. I miscarried over the weekend. I am so upset. This is our second loss in seven months. The first was a girl delivered at 15 weeks back in October. She died in utero from a chromosonal abnormality. This weekends loss was at six weeks and considered a blighted ovum...which is thought to be a chromosonal abnormality. My Dr. is referring us to a specialist. I feel so defeated. The worst part is that yesterday was my original due date...I should have a baby today but instead I have lost two. I know God will see me through. Now it hurts though. Best of luck to everybody. Thanks for reading. Please let me know if you know anybody that had two mc's and went on to have a baby. TIA

I know it's so difficult but try not to worry just yet ... 6w is still so, so early and sometimes your baby just needs a few extra days.
Hang in there ... hope everything winds up OK.

For six weeks that sounds normal. My Doctor refused to do a sono until 8 weeks because they said a lot of times there is barely anything there to see.
If it was a lot of blood, then I would worry. A little spotting is normal. I'm not going to lie and say the blood wouldn't worry me. Even knowing how normal it is, it is still very scary.

if you are exactly six weeks you should know within a few days. if you are really earlier than you think than only seeing a sac is normal. the beta will tell you more. are you sure about when you ovulated??

I had a huge gush of very bright red blood around 5.5 wks. Then i had brown brown at 6 & 7 wks. All was ok. I am now 24 wks. I pray to St. Gerard & God everday! I hope all works out well with you. My suggestion. Keep feet up & rest. Very important to rest.

I had some bright red blood between 7 and 8 weeks and it thankfully turned out to be nothing.

i bled from about 5-6 weeks up until about 12 weeks. and I even squirted blood onto the floor at the hospital...I'm happy to say I'm now almost at 28 weeks and the baby has progressed very well thus far.

Something very similar happened to me when I had my first sono. In that first sono, they only saw the sac- nothing else. And they said my numbers were too high for what they saw on screen. I stressed out all weekend about it (they told me on a Friday, and wanted me to come in on Monday for re-do as well as get blood taken again). After stressing way too hard, Monday came and they did the sono- and all was fine. It had just been too early. They said it just happens sometimes. I'm now 7.5 weeks and all is fine.
I am sure it was too early and when they re-do it, you'll be fine. Most likely it was just too early. Best of luck!!

I'm so so sorry honey. I miscarried in January (after recieving tons of mommy-to-be and pregnancy related gifts for christmas) and I know how devestating it can be. You poor thing, hang in there, I know girls that have had 2+ mcs and went on to have healthy babies. Again, sorry to hear the bad news, my most sincere wishes
