Drape it over the center of the rod holding the center of the scarf (or if you want it a little off-center then more to the shorter side centered on the rod) let it fall and then pick up one side and loosely flip it over the back of the rod where it attached to the wall (on the outside of the attachment) and let if fall. Then just do the same thing on the other side.
Just make sure you work from the center out.
