Scary Night

Our 1 year old cat was having trouble breathing last night and was weezing so we took him to the emergancy pet clinic. They had to take a bunch of tests and while he was sedated the dr said he went into respirtory arrest and stoped breathing for a couple of minutes. Luckily he started breathing again on his own. Scary! The end result is that he has feline asthma. Chat Icon They gave him a cortizone shot but we have to take him to our regular vet to get regular meds.

Then on the way home from the place this morning he was so frightened that he pee-ed and poo-ed in the cat carrier. Chat Icon

He is ok, now. He is passed out. I feel so bad for him.

Re: Scary Night

Two of our cats (who are brother and sister) have asthma. They are on Flovent, an inhaled steriod. Ask your vet about it. Our little boy's asthma is bad right now - the Fall is always the worst time of the year for them.

Good luck - hope your baby is feeling better.
