SCARY Weekend
I was 13 weeks on Friday. The husband and i decided to have a little fun. After I went to the bathroom, wiped checked the TP(as usual) and saw blood. Stood up, toilet was pink. Started freaking out. Ran to get DH who looked and also looked concerned. Immediately, I started crying and said lets go tp the hospital. This was at 11:30 PM.
Went to the emergency room and they sent me to L&D. Some idiot nurse says to me in the hallway-are you having contractions? I say, I shouldn't be! moron. You would think being in this profession they would say, do you need assistance or something...you never know what is going on.
Got into the room and waited for the Dr. Since this is a teaching hospital he was a resident. He comes in, immediately hooks up the sono machine and finds two rolling, flipping babies with strong heartbeats(BabyA 140, Baby B 155) I started crying again with relief. I have never felt so relieved in my life. Then he checked my cervix, long and closed and removed some blood. Says its from s e x. The nurse tells me to come back if it gets heavy like a period, otherwise, I am fine. We left at 12:30AM
So we go home. We had plans to go to a friends the next day which we cancelled and I put myself on bed rest. I was still nervous. Then went to the bathroom again-bright red on the TP. Freaked out again. Called my Dr-so happens my Dr is the one on call. She reassures me, says come in if I want but everything is fine. The cervix is so sensitive and with the combo of the internal and the s e x that the cervix is irritated. She says it should taper by tomorrow(sunday) which it turned to brown and did. Today it is basically gone and I have some slight brown discharge. I ordered a doppler for home and am taking it easy. My next appt is Thursday. I did some research online and SO MANY people pregnant with twins have this sort of stuff. But no more s e x for us. See you in 6 months honey

melissa how scary!!  i am so glad everything is okay... and i am sure your DH is willing to sacrifice for the health of his babies

I wish Dr's would tell people about this. Then it wouldn't be so scary! I have read so many stories online of women who have had this and had pregnancies that went fine.
My DH feels the same way I do-he is willing to sacrifice that part of our life for a time for the health of the babies(and my sanity )
