School closures
Anyone get word of any districts closed tomorrow due to Sandy?

I'm keeping them home either way. DS was going on a field trip, DD is in Nursery. Not worth the risk, IMO.
ETA: Bay Shore closed.

We got a message from our superintendent on Friday evening that she'll be in touch at 7pm tonight to let us know what's going on for Monday. The school my kids attend is in a voluntary evacuation area so I can't imagine they'd open.

east meadow and levittown are closed
bellmore merrick high school closed
north bellmore will announce by 7pm
city schools are closed

Got the call at 11 am this morning that the school is closed Monday and an annoucement will be done again on Monday with whether or not they will be closed Tuesday.

Still waiting to hear in Garden City. All surrounding districts appear to be closed. I figure they will probably call it but who knows.

No word from Smithtown -ugh-I was counting on it being closed-Hauppauge and Three Village cancelled Monday and Tuesday but not us>>>>

Baldwin Closed Monday and Tuesday so my dc won't have school since they are in private school and the district is closed as well as Hicksville (1 in Holy Trinity HS).
