School Librarians
Hello All
Hope you are enjoying your summer off so far! I was just curious of anyone here is a school librarian. I am thinking of going back to school to pursue this and was looking for any kind of feedback about it.

The profession is changing. As a librarian, you will be expected to know much more about technology. It's a great field and I love it.

It's a tough field to get into. I like that you have to stay on top of so many things (technology, literature, references, non-fiction, databases, etc)
I went to QC and loved it. you can take 5 classes at SUNYSB and then you have to do the rest at QC, but it's worth it. It's a great program.

My husband in one - this was his first year. He was an English teacher before. He really likes it - it is a lot less stress (he still teaches a theater classtoo). I know that his budget is very low for next year, and he's making some tough decisions.
