Not that this applies to me, lol. My kids are in public school. But if you send your kids to parochial school or homeschool, do you get a reduction in property taxes?

No there is no reduction. You pay whatever your tax bill states.

No. You just pay your tax bill as is and then tuition on top of it

Nope. Everyone pays, having a child in school has nothing to do with paying taxes for the public schools.

This

We don’t have children and our taxes are no different than someone who had 6 kids in school

School taxes have NOTHING to do with whether or not you have kids in public school. Every property owner pays property taxes including school taxes regardless. Just like you pay for the fire department and the police even though you may never call them.
I don’t understand people who say “well I don’t use it so why should I pay for it”.

I get the logic why should you have to pay if you are not using the school. If you don’t use it it sucks paying for something you will never use.
The fire and police I get having to pay for you may need them one day.

You may not "use" it, but you certainly still benefit from the school taxes. People who own homes in better school districts tend to have higher home values.

This. Part of what factors in to your homes value is the school district that you are in.

I'm not agreeing on one way or another, me personally I am not sure where I stand on this and its probably because our taxed are ridiculously high on LI so I see both sides of it.

Everyone benefits from public education.

Would you want to live in an uneducated society? or one less educated than it is currently?

Every time you go to the doctor, your accountant, your car mechanic, even your cashier at starbucks, you're reaping benefits from public education. All of those people have a set of basic skills from public education that they have built on to get where they are today to provide a service.

Catholic School Family here -

You also receive your textbooks, transportation, and any special needs (speech therapy, etc) from your public school district even if you go to Catholic school.

Exactly!

We are childfree by choice and we don’t have any issues paying school taxes. It’s an investment in the future.
