Schools for special needs children?
I'm hoping to help out a co-worker, she has a 7 yr old autistic daughter, she’s trying to find her a special needs school, private or public in Queens or Brooklyn. She’s ruled out a few schools already, but she’s trying to get as many recommendations as possible so she can schedule appointments and see which school will finally be a good fit for her daughter. She has 2 other kids and works full time, so she really has her hands full and I’m hoping I can help her out!! TIA!!

I'm no help but was going to suggest that you should cross post to the special needs board and the teaching, you might be able to get some answers

i would also have her contact her school district or call early intervention (yes i know she is too old, but they can also be of help for schools)
