seamstress/tailor needed
I am hoping you ladies can help me out. My sister's wedding is the end of August and I am in desperate need of a seamstress/tailor who can alter my bridesmaid dress. I will be 31 weeks the day of the wedding. The dress was ordered through David's Bridal, but the closest to the wedding they will see me is six weeks before. I am assuming my body will change greatly in those six weeks.
If any of you could please recommend someone in Suffolk County who can do alterations, I would greatly appreciate it!
TIA!!!

Re: seamstress/tailor needed
Rosalba's Alterations. She is located at 5 Main Street, Kings Park. I think she is still there, but I am not sure since I haven't been there in 2 years. I used her for my wedding... my wedding gown and rehearsal dinner dress, bm dresses, my moms dress, and even my flower girl's dress! she was great and had decent prices. hope that helps!

Re: seamstress/tailor needed
What area do you live? I've always taken my BM dresses (including ones from David's) to Alterations by Gina in Deer Park (on LI Ave). She always does a great job and can turn things around quickly.
I'm in my brother's wedding in a few weeks and this time decided to stick with the bridal salon because I was nervous it wouldn't fit or something. Meanwhile, it's huge. The wedding is on the 30th and the seamstress there told me to come in on the 20th and she'll alter it the week before the wedding, which is great. I can't believe David's won't see you closer to the wedding, considering you're pregnant.

Can you just order the dress larger? Its MUCH easier to make a dress smaller then larger! I would recommend Phylis at Bridal Elegance.
