My mom actually is trying to start a secret shopper job. She has her first job next week. I'll ask her for some information for you

Re: Secret Shopper Jobs?
I belong to 2 mystery shopping places...they e-mail me shops from time to time. I haven't one one yet because I'm 8 months pregnant. They don't pay that much. $7-9.00 per shop. Maybe other places pay more.

Re: Secret Shopper Jobs?
If you are interested - here is some info for you - I did it off and on for a while.
You won't really make any money but can get some free meals or items.
You don't have to pay to get into the sites - those are a waste of money - just go to this site and look for jobs and sign up with those companies.
MSPA.org
Most jobs pay about $5-7 but there are some that pay as much as $20 out there. - If you fit some strict qualifications you can sometimes find jobs that pay as much as $75 (but for i.e. you must own a house and be willing to apply for a loan type jobs).
If you need money this isn't the job for you - it is pocket money or free items (i.e. meals).
You have to do the shops ALONE unless it specifies that you bring someone with you. Like someone between the ages of 21 and 27 or a child under 10.
Keep in mind that many jobs have a stipulation that if you shop them you can't shop them again for anywhere between 60-120 days (depends on the shop).
Also you are an independant contractor and NOT an employee so you are required to report your salary and take out your own taxes.

Re: Secret Shopper Jobs?
Not sure how it works in other places, but when I worked at Genovese, we had "secret shoppers" that came from corporate - we had the same ones time and time again. They were in the stores for 6-8 hours at a time. Maybe some big stores like macy's or supermarkets if you contact there corp offices could hire? Just a Thought.

Re: Secret Shopper Jobs?
I did a few shops...they most pay about $20/shop, so it isn't really something I could do full time. I signed up at mystery shopper and there was no fee

Re: Secret Shopper Jobs?
I used to do it also... My favorite ones were the ones at resturants... they would reinburse you your entire meal! (for 2 people!) Those are the BEST to get.
many sites online offer mystery shop programs... but as everyoen said, they don't pay too much.
It's only worth it if you are already in the store/mall etc.. and just stop in to do the mystery shop.
