selling makeup, jewelry, or any other type of product through networking
What did/ do you sell?
Where there any hidden costs where you have to buy the items each month & then re-sell them?
Did/ do you like selling?

Just became a Lia Sophia advisor. Start up costs have been minimal so far. Had to Purchase the starter kit, catalogs, and a few other things. Nothing too crazy. My first party should cover the start up costs

I liked selling. But with Princess House, I had two Cousins who had a show; One collected her part of the $, the other didn't, so the whole shabang went back to the Co., and I had to give back my paycheck!! Mary

My friend sells the Stella and dot line. Only issue I could see happening is that every season you will need to buy new product to set up for parties. You need to be showing the current stuff...

I sell Tastefully Simple and have been doing really well so far.....low start up costs, and I only need to buy catalogs/order forms and samples (which are inexpensive). I make 30% of whatever I sell and I do NOT carry an inventory -- plus all customer orders are shipped to them directly so I don't deal with that, either.....so far, so good!

Re: selling makeup, jewelry, or any other type of product through networking
I just started with Barefoot Books a few weeks ago. No start-up at all required by them but I've purchased business cards and some books to stock up my own library so I can familiarize myself with the books. I was impressed with the company and the product and being an elementary school teacher and a HUGE, HUGE childrens book fanatic I was drawn right in. I am excited to get going. My website is: Barefoot Marketplace

What did/ do you sell?
I've been selling Pampered Chef for two years now, which is kitchen tools/supplies.
Where there any hidden costs where you have to buy the items each month & then re-sell them?
You only need to invest in the kit which is $155 and it includes over $500 in prodocts and everything you need for your first six shows. You don't need to buy anything else. You do not have to keep stock, everything gets shipped to the customer. You also do not need to buy samples or anything like that. You can strictly sell with products from the kit. You might need to purchase extra catalogs after the original six shows are done and maybe extra order forms, but that's about it. It really is a great investment.
Did/ do you like selling? I love selling and the company is great. I highly recommend it.
