Sense of smell like a police dog?
I swear to you I can get a job as a bomb or drug sniffing dog at the airport.
Ever since day 1 of this pregnancy my sense of smell has been ridiculous. And that is NOT a good thing.
I can smell people's nasty garlic breath from a mile away. I can smell offensive bathroom odors even though my desk is at least 20 feet from the closest bathroom. Cooking is hard because every smell is just so intensified that it sometimes makes me gag.
I can't wear certain perfumes anymore because they suddenly overpower me.
I thought this would go away after the first tri but NOPE. Still going strong. I really hope this fades after the pregnancy is done. I HATE IT!!!!!!

I'm the same way.
I can smell anything from a mile away.
This woman sat next to me on the train yesterday who clearly was a smoker and I almost puked all over her.

Re: Sense of smell like a police dog?
Yep. Same here. Sense of smell was heightened even before getting my BFP. I'm at the same point as you and the only thing that has "lessened" it, is my constantly stuffy nose (that's another thing....)
My SMIL said that her sense of smell has stayed heightened all these years and never went back to pre-pg levels. Her kids are now 20 and 22.

Oh boy this is what I am afraid of. I was hoping it goes away after I give birth because this is not fun!

Re: Sense of smell like a police dog?
I was just thinking about this yesterday. My husband has to chew gum or brush his teeth before he kisses me hello when he gets home from work because I can smell what he ate for lunch and it makes me sick.

Re: Sense of smell like a police dog?
Friday I went to a reunion in a bar and I had trouble talking to people because I could smell their bad breath/alcohol/cigarettes etc. Normally I can't smell anything so this is the worst part of pregnancy for me.
