Superhuman sense of smell?
I am 11 weeks. Does this last the whole pregnancy? Sometimes it is cool, sometimes it is really annoying.

Re: Superhuman sense of smell?
I had this--I think it mostly disappeared a few months into the pregnancy though.
Mine was NOT cool--all my smells were bad. Our bathroom made me sick (clean, toilet flushed, nothing just uhm passed). One day I was gagging on the train. DH was next to me, and wanted to know what was wrong, and I told him the guy across from us really stunk. He couldn't smell a thing. Many foods were out for me too because of this.
It did get better though.

Re: Superhuman sense of smell?
Same here, it came in the middle of the first trimester, and I still have it.
It's not that everything I smell is bad, it's just that it's very sensitive. I can smell popcorn cooking on the other side of the building!

I had it really bad the first trimester. I'm 15 weeks now and it's not nearly as bad.

Re: Superhuman sense of smell?
VERY sensitive sense of smell at 9 weeks, I'm praying it goes away. Raw onions, garlic and toast send me to the garbage can!!! & of course now it's all I think our house smells like!!!
I need a scent to put on my upper lip so I can just smell that all day long!!

Re: Superhuman sense of smell?
I am only 7 weeks and this crazy sense of smell is now starting! Something in our co-op smelled so bad last night, I couldn't even get to sleep. I told DH it was our fish tank! He couldn't smell anything. Anyway, as Im writing this, he is cleaning that thing! Way over due!
