Sentricon Termite bait system
Anyone know how often these things need to be baited?

I think they only put the bait in them if they notice activity. We have this system and our company comes 4 times a year and checks the traps.

Anyone know how often these things need to be baited?
The previous owners of our house got the system before we closed and the company sent us a notice a year later to offer us a protection package. It said they would come out and rebait them at the one year mark.

See the problem is the house that we just purchased has them in the ground. however, the people who lived there didn't really take care of the house, so i would have to assume that they didn't maintain them, so now i wonder... are they "null & void" without having been maintained?
ETA: what does the monitoring cost, if i may ask?

We use Suburban Magic Termite Control. The previous owners had a contract with them, so we just transferred it to our name. We pay $350 or so a year for the contract. They come 4 times a year to check the traps and if they see activity they put in the bait and come back to check on it. So far we have been happy with them (although we have yet to have a termite problem, knock on wood!).
