I am due Sept 2nd, so I'm thinking it could pretty warm when I take her home. If its not hot- I am thinking of taking her home in the same outfit I was brought home in. Its a cute cardigan that my grandma knitted for me before I was born!
Otherwise, if its warm- I havent really thought about it yet!

I am going to wait and see what I get at the shower but since my due date is the 12th I am planning on getting a warm outfit and a cool outfit. But I was looking at this one since I can either use the little sweater thing or not.

that is soooo cute! I almost bought a set that was open on the bottom like this, but then I wondered, what do you put on their legs? Because the car seat strap is going to come between them...and I didn't want that strap against their bare skin. Are you using booties/socks? TIA!

That outfit is just beautiful!
My DH and I will probably go shopping and I'll have to let him pick out something for the baby. He never had any say in the matter before and Ive done this before so Im going to just let him fly with it...
The one constant will be that the baby will come home with his Gymboree blanket..that will be purchased by my mother. She has bought all my girls one of these. They are light weight yet nice an warm..I have an 8 year old that still sleeps with hers!

My DD came 7 weeks early, so the outfit I purchased was way too big. I scrambled to find something in a preemie size! I came up with this..it was a preemie brand that has clothing from 3-5lbs...and it was still too big 
PS. She wore her "original" coming home outfit for Thanksgiving 
She came home on 9/18/06.

both very cute, but the first one will be hard to do with carseat. the elastic will need to be hiked way up to get the carseat buckled.
