seriously spending time considering bariatric surgery
nothing i do works.
my biggest fear in life is that my body won't allow me to have a decent quality of life.
i'm scared.

It's a constant thought for me. I have a friend who did lapband and they did AMAZING WITH IT!

i just got health ins at work. my old dr doesn't accept it. so... step one: find new dr

Seriously! If you are at a weight where it could be dangerous for your health I can't understand why a doctor would be against it. Good luck and please let us know what happens.

I had Gastric Bypass 3.5 years ago...nothing before that worked for either.

My cleaning lady just had lap-band done about a week ago and I'm cheering her on!!! I think she will do great. She's so active with the type of work she does, yet she could not lose weight and keep it off. If you want it, push for it. I believe she had to coordinate a few things with several doctors.

thank you all for the warm replies and fms.
i was away from the computer all last night.
i hope to reply to all the fms throughout the day.
just to note: (although it might be obvious)... this is NOT something i'm taking lightly and if i decide to move ahead with it, will do all the research i can first.
