serum progesterone?
My doctor sent me for this blood test last month. I went on cycle day 23 (my cycles are 24-25 days long). The nurse called with the results that were 7.9. She said this is normal. But she also said I need to come in to speak with the doctor. Can anyone explain what this means? Have any of you had this test? Thanks.

Re: serum progesterone?
7.9 means you ovulated, but that is not the level doctors like to see. They want to see progesterone at 10 or higher. You may be given suppositories in the future...so that you can sustain a pregnancy. You may have what's called luteal phase defect. This is where your body is not producing enough progesterone and your luteal phase is not long enough making implantation difficult.
