Do you have one? Is this something I need?

Re: Service contracts for gas burners?

We have one through Slomins for our oil burner. They replace it free of charge if something happens. It was a no brainer to me because we have no idea how long it will last.

Now sure if it is the same for gas.

Re: Service contracts for gas burners?

You do NOT need a service contract on a gas burner....and do not get roped into one!! There is nothing on a gas burner that needs to be serviced.

When we had our conversion done, the company that installed ours told us that is the biggest scam going. We have had our burner for 5 years, no problems or service needed!!

I agree with Lisa. We paid for a service contract for the first year after we had our gas installation. Then, when something went wrong because of an error they made during the installation, they said it wasn't covered and they wanted us to pay. I didn't return any of their calls regarding renewing our contract this year.Chat Icon
