Severe shooting pain in groin area during 3rd tri?
OMG- does anyone have this?
For the past few weeks I have had this horrendous pain in my groin that shoots down my thigh and nearly fells me where I stand.
It is so severe it takes my breath away
It's ALWAYS on the right side only.
It comes and goes but just now I came home from work, sat on the toilet to pee and as I was sitting there BAM it kicked in so bad I almost fell off the bowl!
Then I tried to stand up and couldn't- sat back down and couldn't.
OMG the pain is so freakin bad- the only way to describe it is like a tendon or ligament that goes from my groin down into my inner thigh is being twisted or ripped apart.
I looked it up on baby center and a lot of people contribute it to the baby putting pressure on your pelvis and hitting a nerve?
Has anyone had something like this??

OMG I was just coming on to post about the same thing!!! I just went for a walk and I had a shooting pain starting right above my right hip, and then up along my right side! The shooting stopped, and then it just felt almost like a charlie horse feels, and then it subsided completely. It hurt like a beyotch. No idea what it is though because this is the first time it has happened. Could it be round ligament pain?
I feel your pain 
ETA: I just re-read that yours is radiating down while mine is radiating up. I guess it could be the baby's position...does it get better when she moves?

Ugh! Everyday now! I can't stand it anymore! It usually happens when I've been sitting for a little bit and then stand up, hurts like hell!

I get it all the time.....my doc said its from the baby moving down and getting ready...but there are times where i can't walk or move....the worst was when i was driving on the expressway...i had to pull over i was in sooo much pain...but it does pass..

I've heard it is normal. The nurse at my practice said I would wake up one day and feel like I have been riding a horse all night long.

Yes I think it is from her being so low and putting some kind of pressure on a nerve.
The sono tech the other night said her head is wedged right in my pelvis- I am guessing it's a nerve she hits because it comes out of NOWHERE and it is incapacitating!

YUP, got that lovely pain as well. It takes my breathe away. I got it at dinner last night and my DH and parents stopped and looked at me b/c I took such a sharp breathe in.
