Sex and pregnancy.....

...I'm posting under my TTC alias because I'm embarassed and I know family members come on here.

Since I've been pregnant DH does not want to have sex. He says he feels weird because of the baby. I don't know if it's because he's not attracted to me or what.

I just feel so gross. I've never had this problem with him before.

I don't think it has to do with him not being attrcted to you. Some men are like this when their wives are pregnant. They fear they may hurt the baby or you.

DONT!

We use to have sex 5x a week 69 sex ect. Now I am like uhhhhhhh I feel weird.. I feel like his private will be some how poking my bebe...

The dr also said sometimes sex can cause bleeding.. once she said that.. My husband was like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh noooooooooooo...

I am going to be good and wait!

aww don't feel gross, you are beautiful and sexy

My DH stayed away from me for my 1st pg too.
1-he was afraid to make me bleed (cervix is really tender)
2-He was scared he would hurt me or the baby
3-Most of all, he was scared he would feel the baby move in the middle of it.

Bring your DH to your next appt and ask the doc in front of him if sex is okay, once he heard that he wouldn't hurt the baby or nothing could happen he was more open to it. Now me on the other hand, i had a 1st pg that was high risk so just when I convinced him, I was on pelvic rest.

This pg is totally different though!!

My DH is the same exact way. It also makes me feel bad but he keeps telling me that all he can imagine is the baby being shaken.

Pregnancy has definitely taken a toll on our sex life, but it's b/c I don't want it...

I feel so gross and ugly and DH totally picks up on that so in return he doesn't even try anymore...it's sad and I hope it changes back to normal after the baby gets here!

Maybe your husband is picking up on a vibe that you give out b/c you don't feel attractive...that's what's happening with us at least.

We have always had a healthy sex life and pretty strong sexual appetites...

In my first tri, I wanted NOTHING to do with it - I was so tired and turned off, that poor DH had to practically beg !

Once I got to my 2nd tri, it was better...not totally back to normal, but better than the first trimester...

Now - DH recently admitted that he feels too weird to do it - and frankly, I am getting too uncomfortable! So, we do other things in the mean time, but even that has slowed down. I'm not too worried, I have heard a lot of people go through the same thing, and I know that it will go back to "normal" afterwards.

DH was that way until he heard the MD say it was okay. Although anytime we get started he asks if the baby is alright first, and then at the end asks again. He usually says he is afraid he is going to crush the baby.

Thanks ladies. I feel a little better. I've just never been rejected by DH. We talked about it and he says he still thinks I'm attractive, it's just weird.

I guess it'll be a while before I get any action. Hopefully I don't become one of those horny second trimester preggos.

DH is only afraid of hurting me or that I am physically not up to it. He seems to realize that the baby is well protected as long as the doctor does not say otherwise. He now waits for me to initiate but he says that it is not for lack of attraction. He just doesn't want to be pushy.

DH and i were on pelvic rest up until 3 weeks ago (I'm 26 weeks) and now even though we are allowed the sex is pretty non existant! I think we are both afraid being that I was on pelvic rest...but I think it also has to do with just feeling weird having a baby growing in there!

Not to mention, last time we did BD he said "I feel your belly resting on me!" We totally laughed about it but its just weird now! I feel bad about it, I hope we get that intimacy back after the baby is born. Some days I miss it so much (the intimacy).
