I use Herbal Essences volumizing shampoo, and alternate with cheap V05.

i cant use Suave.. it makes my hair look and feel like Straw.
i dont consider $10 a small fortune though... i spend more than that a week on cigarettes, and consider shampoo probably a better investment than that

Re: Shampoo/conditioner
My former hairdresser (before I moved...I miss him!) told me that the more expensive stuff does not necessarily mean it is better. He suggested that you try different brands and if it makes your hair feel clean and shiny, then it is a good one for you, whether it's Suave or a really expensive one. The only one he said NOT to use is Prell - they used to use it to strip color out of hair when the dye jobs didn't go as planned
I have to rotate shampoos - some work great for a while, but then tend to build up on my hair and then I switch to another one for a while. the ones I use the most are Pantene, Dove, Aussie Mega, and Herbal Essence.

Bedhead
I don't know why this made me laugh
I use Biologe and Dove and Frizz-Ease. I like to change them up.
I used Bedhead in the past, made my hair too frizzy
Ditto on the frizziness!! Bedhead did NOT cooperate well with my hair!!
I use Frizzese Shampoo and Conditioner and love it. I don't know if it's for color treated hair though. Buy yourself some kerastase.. you deserve it

Re: Shampoo/conditioner
I use Pantene. the shampoo girl at my salon suggested that to me and said it is the best stuff. She said never to use white rain or VO5. She said that she had dropped the VO5 in her bathtub and let it sit there for a while and when it did rinse off it ate away the stain that was in her tub. So she said if it did it to her tub who knows what it does to your hair.

Re: Shampoo/conditioner
it's best to alternate b/t 2 or 3 different shampoos. like all other hair/skin products, make sure you are using a formula that is designed for your hair type. i used to use pantene but heard that it causes a heavy buildup and you need to cleanse the hair w/ a clarifying shampoo about once a week.

the way we go through shampoo at my house yeah $10 a bottle is too much - and i dont smoke so i am not spending money on cigarettes either.
i trade off between different suave formulas and i think as long as you use enough conditioner your hair should be fine but hay to each their own.
