Shampoo spinoff- using on dry hair
I have done this a few times based on the recs in the other shampoo thread and my hair looks great. I usually have frizz and dry hair, but it looks and feels so much better than usual. I initially used a lot of shampoo- I have a big bottle with a pump and I used 3-4 pumps to saturate it. But today I used 2 pumps and just massaged it in more. It still worked well. Just wanted to share.

I was curious about how much you'd have to use on dry hair. I'll definitely try it next wash!

I don't think you have to saturate it- to me it reminded me of coloring it but I just concentrated it at the roots.

Shampoo spinoff- using on dry hair
ok so you put the shampoo on before you go in the shower...and then rinse it off when you get in. do you apply more shampoo after the rinse or just the conditioner after?

You put your shampoo on your hair dry.. don't run it under the water first. Lather it up and then rinse it!

step 4: rub shampoo on DRY hair- on scalp and sides ..covering your roots.. rub and sing the friggen alphabet if you have to...
step 5: turn shower water on

Re: Shampoo spinoff- using on dry hair
gets rid ofall the oil and buildup, especially if you use products
i personally dont use any products in my hair nor do i even own a hairbrush.. but my hair is super fluffy and less greasy by the end of the day. the oils weigh down my hair. this process makes my hair keep its volume

Your hair doesn't get tangled? Do you comb your hair?

Nope. No comb or brush. As I'm blow drying I use my fingers.

Shampoo spinoff- using on dry hair
I have been going shampoo free for a few months and I'm happy using a cleansing conditioner (wen) but I feel like once every couple of weeks, I just need to use shampoo. I think I will try this! Thank you!

Re: Shampoo spinoff- using on dry hair
Trying this this weekend. Not sure of the mechanics behind why or how it would be different than the normal way but I am dying to find out!
Question- you don't pull it through to the ends right? Just the roots and sides- almost like you are doing a color touch up?

I have no idea why it works- it almost does not make sense! It is a lot like doing color. My hair is pretty short- a bit below my ears- so I get a good bit on the ends. But when you rinse it all runs down the ends anyway. I have used conditioner but I don't need it every day, combing is not problem. I do use a combo shampoo/conditioner so that may help with tangles.

You are AWESOME!
In fact, I just realized I should try this on my kid. I have never tried to bathe my cat but I think it would be easier than trying to wash her hair. I think this would be much easier because less water would be involved. So you may be even more awesome.

I did my whole head & my hair has been the best it's been in a long long time!
The conditioner I just focused on my ends up to the middle of my head
