we had a strange experience when 2 of mine and my sister's friends were in a car accident... one of them died instantly and one was in intensive care in the hospital. one morning like a day or two after the crash we woke up and found two dead birds on the front porch right by the door - one was face down and one was face up. it was so strange! it was like they were placed there by someone. my mom always thought they somehow symbolized the two girls - the face down bird for the one who had already passed, and the face up for the one who was still hanging on.
