sharp pain in V-area

or maybe it's the cervix?

i am 17 wks today and having random sharp pains in the vag / cervix area...anyone know what this is? should i be worried?

Please call the dr .If it really is sharp pain it can be something serious or it could be nothing, but better safe than sorry. I would even insist on going in and getting checked and having some tests done even if the dr says it's nothing to worry about. I am not trying to scare or alarm you but I started having sharp pain like that when I was 28 weeks pregnant and it turned out to be more than just "pregnancy pain which is normal" as my DR put it .

i called the OB..going in at 10:30 hopefully it's nothing bad.

I've been getting this pain randomly for a couple of weeks. I am 14 weeks today.

Update: I saw the NP and she said it is most likely stretching / growing pains. I did do a lot of walking and house work over the weekend so she said to take it easy and try to remember to take it slower and bend the right way etc. She also did a urine test and culture to rule out any UTI etc. Good thing is, we got to hear the heartbeat again! Always nice.
