She slept in her crib......
for the first time last night..in fact she's still there. I don't get it-I should be happy that the transition went somewhat smoothly, but it's bittersweet. I miss having her in our room. I even sobbed myself to sleep. I can't get over how much I love her sometimes.

Think about how much better you will ALL sleep in the end!
I felt the same way, I was so sad to move DD, and she's just across the hallway now. But she definitely sleeps so much better now, and so do we.
They grow so quickly, I know....It makes me sad how fast it flies too, you're not the only one and it's perfectly normal to feel like that

Awwwww Our babies are growing up so quickly! She is probably a lot more comfortable in her crib also.

You think?? I hope she really is more comfy. She just looks so darn small in there...sort of lonely. Thanks everyone.

Michael was just too heavy and totally outgrowing his mini co-sleeper at 2 monts...so when I put him in the crib, on that comfy mattress he looked so comfortable. I also swaddled him for a while so that helped the "space" issue.

Re: She slept in her crib......
It was a total fluke, she just wouldn't go down the past two nights in her swing (which is where she's been since 8 weeks for breathing issues). So I just figured, but secretly hoped she wouldn't, like her crib.... I know it had to happen sooner or later!

Awwww! I know how you feel! I kept DD in our room for so long. I was sad too when she slept in her crib, but I actually like it so much better now! It will get easier!

Re: She slept in her crib......
Aww I know how you feel, I cried when we moved Ds form his bassinett to his crib. I felt especially sad when I saw his bassinett sitting empty in a corner. I recently saw a picture I took of DS sleeping in his bassinett all swaddled up, he looked soo small in there.
ANyway glad to hear the transition went smoothly, and enjoy the the rest

Re: She slept in her crib......
I think it is harder on us than on them. It was very hard to do but eventually everyone sleeps better I think - you won't have to tip toe around once she is asleep quite as much as if she was in your room
