Sheet Cake for 1st Birthday Party

I am going to attempt to make a large cupcake cake for DD's first birthday, but would also like to have a sheet cake (just in case!). Does BJ's carry them? Can you recommend a good bakery in the RVC/Oceanside?Lynbrook area?

Front Street bakery in RVC has THE best cakes...amazing! I schlep them all the way to work in Westchester...people at work all beg me to bring them in - say it is the best cakes they've ever had and I completely agree.

BJ's cakes are great and affordable, I'm pretty sure it's $19.99 for the large cake, it might even be cheaper. I know that's what I paid for DS's 1st birthday cake with an personalized image on it.

i got our sheet cake from bjs!! it was DELICOUS! I highly recmd that you order a cake! they have some avail in the fridge ready to go but its best to order and get a fresh one.

i may have a pic in my album of the cake from my dd's first bday.
i think it came out to $15 or $20

loved it!

I LOVE Costco cakes - I think a large sheet cake that feeds about 40- 50 people (maybe more) is about $18.

I've had the ones from BJ's too and they are good. They feed about 40 people as well and are $20. I think you can get an even larger one too.

We live in Oceanside, and got ours at BJ's and it was great! The only bakery I know in Oceanside is Steinbergs and not sure if they make sheet cakes! HTH!

Oh if you live right there...you MUST check it out. If you love chocolate...they have a chocolate fudge icing that is to die for! We always get this with vanilla cake.
Otherwise their buttercream icings are so delicious....enjoy!
