Sheets and Towels

How often do you replace these items?

My bridal shower was 4 years ago and I am ready for new ones. I hate that their all ratty and worn out. And they were pretty good ones too. Am I being anal? I think that's what I'll ask for for Xmas Chat Icon

Re: Sheets and Towels

We moved into our apt. about 3 years ago and I just replaced all of our towels. I bought two new sheet sets but our older ones are fine.

I replace washcloths all the time. They gross me out. I only buy white so I can bleach them! Chat Icon

Re: Sheets and Towels

We've been using the same towels since we got married over five years ago. They still look and feel great. Thank you Fortunoff Luxe towels that I will never be able to buy again!

As for sheets, I think most of our original sheets have been cycled out already. But I love to buy sheets, so as soon as a set starts looking a bit worn, they become drop cloths or air mattress linens etc.

Re: Sheets and Towels

OK so it seems like 4 years is a reasonable time to want new ones Chat Icon

I agree - my towels have held up better than sheets.

The higher sheet counts usually last a big longer. Also depends on how many sets you have and how often you wash. So if you have 2 sets and change every week, then you are using each set 26 times in the year. If you had 4 sets, you would only use each set 13 times.

i found great sheets at marshalls, TJ's and Century 21.

Re: Sheets and Towels

I had my shower 5 yrs ago, and I just got new sheets/comforter for my bedroom. I found there just weren't holding up anymore and I felt 5 yrs was enough time!

I want new towels too, but I am waiting til we move to replace.
