Sherwin Williams Color To Go samples

Has anyone used these as touch up paint or anything like that. I bought a sample to use as touch up instead of buying a quart. The guy told me I shouldn't use it that way since it won't hold up and will fade. Has anyone had experience with it fading? I really think it's just a sales tactic to get me to buy a quart instead of the $6 sample but I don't want to use it if it will fade.

I have never used it to touch up so I can't really answer but that's a great idea. I did buy a sample of a light color and put it over a dark color and the one coat was really impressive in how well it covered so I do think the samples are good quality. You're probably right that they want to sell you the quart.
