Did they put her on steroids? If they think it's neurological, steriods should be the first step to bring down any swelling around the brain. If it is neuro she will respond pretty quickly with the steroids. Has to be a high enough dose. Here's a previous post I had posted on here re: my dog Rocky.
Our dog Rocky was diagnosed with Non infectious meningo encephalitis. His symptoms started with a seizure and within a few days he started leaning to one side, head tilt and was overall confused and skittish. All his blood work came back normal. The vet then sent me to a neuro who performed a spinal tap and MRI. I would discuss this possibility with your vet as it's very important to start steroid treatment right away to bring down swelling in the brain. I'm not trying to scare you, I just wish someone would've told me about GME b/c I waited and had no knowledge of it. I assumed his body was sore from the seizure. Rocky had been 100% healthy before that point.

I know that they had mentioned that could be a possiblity when we first took her to the er. she started the steriod Sunday night.
here is the medicine that she is currently on:
Prednisone(steriod), Oxstrin (the new antioxidant pill that helps the recovery of injured tissues) Tramadol and Gabapentin (for pain).
We saw the neuro today at VMCLI in west islip, I updated. thanks for the info

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our precious dog, Chloe. She came into our lives and left paw prints on our hearts. She was the most amazing dog. Chloe was loved by everyone who met her. We love her so much and miss her greatly. Rest in peace my love, my first baby, Chloe.

OMG. I am so so so so sorry. My heart is breaking for you. I gasped when i read your update. I feel so sad for you. We went through something similar with our cat when I was a child and he did not make it either.You did all you could. You were an amazing mama to your baby and she had a great life with you.

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge...
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. Oh god im beyond sorry. I know how you feel. Lost my precious bunny too soon. Your doggie is in heaven. You did all you could and gave her all your love. I hope you are ok
