short cycles..
so my period comes every month between 23 and 25 days from first day of bleeding.. AF comes on hard and strong and heavy (sorry TMI) right from the start. i know people have short cycles like me but i bleed for 6-7 days making it only 2 weeks and 3-4 days of no bleeding between cycles.. does anyone else have this? is there anything that can be done? this is how it's been for me since ive been a kid!

I forget exactly what you can do - but I believe Melijane has posted about some supplements you can take that will potentially lengthen your cycle - B-6 and B-12 I believe, but again, not 100% sure.

B-6 is supposed to lengthen your luteal phase. Last month i noticed mine was only about 10-11 days. I started taking B6 this month. Who knows if it will work but it cant hurt.

I had 26 day cycles but was very regular. I had 6 day periods. Heavy for a good 2 days.
I used an OPK to know when I was ovulating. The 1st month we TTC without OPK, I had no clue so I guessed at 13 or 14 days and I think we started BD too late.
The 2nd month I used the OPK, I had the surge at 12 days. The window was 12-48 hours. We BD at 12 days not 13 or 14 like the previous month. I got PG that 2nd month.

I 'think' i read that anywhere from 21 to 31 day cycles is considered normal. So, I don't think that you should worry, and your cycle is not too short.

my cycle is short too, anywhere from 23-26 days, I have to mention it to my dr. because before my m/c my cycles were longer, 27-30 days.

It works. It worked for me and also stopped spotting I had before my period.
JTK-This may be why you bleed when PG. Your cycle is short so the phases are not really completing. Just a guess but maybe talk to your Dr.

hmm... this could be true.. although my progesterone is always VERY low when i'm pregnant. i have always taken progesterone supps until the placenta kicks in. B-6 is that an injection? prescription? or is it something over the counter? thanks!
