Short girls--how do you buy tall boots?

Short girls--how do you buy tall boots?
I'd like a pair of tall boots, but most of them have shafts that are 15", and I think that will go well above my knee. What size should I be looking for if my legs are short? The mid size boots are 12", but to me they don't look as nice as the ones made to be taller. Any advice?

I am 5'2 and have never had an issue with knee high boots being too tall
I even have over the knee boots that are the right height

Do tall boots come up to your knees, or past them?

I am 5'2" and have 4 pairs of tall boots and they all hit me in the right spot. You just have to try on a lot of them and find the ones that fit right.

Im 5' 2" as well and all I own are knee high boots. Never had a problem with the shaft height. They all hit right below the knee.
