Shorts for young teen OMG help
Ok so every single store I went into at Roosevelt Field that my 13 yo agreed to go to has ONLY short shorts. I swear they have gotten even shorter this year. I mean why even wear shorts?!
Please help me find shorts for my young teen! She is a bit of a snob of where she will shop which is difficult. Meanwhile no clue where she gets that from since I shop at Target, kohls and old navy.

nordstrom- not the junior section ( their stuff is SHORT) but try madewell, free people section by the dresses

Thank you will check. I just want to mention that I think I somewhat get why some young girls dress the way they do. Almost ALL shirts are cropped. It's not easy to find modest clothing! It's makes it tough for parents who are actually trying to not let their DDs out dresses like hoochies!

ehh at least shes not the ONLY one dressing like that which takes the sting out ( no pun lol ) a little bit

Good luck as anything that is slightly long, my teen doesn't want it either. I have suggested Bermuda shorts and you would think I asked her to go skin a cat lololol.

American Eagle Mini short is a touch longer.
You just reminded me of when we had the 1 hot day so far, I took my DS to OT & saw a mom & her 10 year old waiting for their younger child to finish therapy. The 10 year old stood up from her chair & her cheeks were peeking through. Every nasty older man in the waiting room was looking at her butt cheeks. I wonder if the mom had no clue her daughter's shorts were that short or if she thought it was cute.

Express, Limited and GAP all have lengths -
If you can get her to agree to go into those stores and TRY THEM ON ........they have 'short' versions, just not 'underwear' short.

JCrew has lengths.
I got a couple of pairs of cutoffs at American Eagle recently. You just have to try on a million pairs until you find the ones that actually cover your ass! I forget which styles it was now though.

You have to look for the Midi. That style is longer than most of their shorts. I can't link from my phone.

AE def I even wear them because they have different lengths. I like the midi ones cause they are rolled up so you can unroll once or twice to get the length you want.
Also Jcrew factory has lengths.

I have this same problem and my DD is 5! I refuse to buy short shorts for her. I ended up finding bermuda length shorts and I also bought those bike shorts in a size bigger so they look like bermuda shorts.

Of course you do. Maybe not YOUR teens. I see plenty of teens out there that are dressed appropriately without booty shorts on.

Oh of course you get a vote but that doesn't mean your vote wins or if it does, that those shorts will ever be worn if you buy them.

Of course you do. Maybe not YOUR teens. I see plenty of teens out there that are dressed appropriately without booty shorts on.
My teen wears shorts longer than her butt cheeks but if you are around teens long enough, you will see how short their dresses, skirts and shorts are and if you shop for clothes for teens, everything is very short, no matter where you go in a jr. section of a store.
