Shot in the dark here
anyone know if Cornell is in network for BCBS?
I know they are for UHC and some Oxford plans.

Re: Shot in the dark here
As far as I know they only take UHC, Oxford and a certain AETNA plan that is offered only to people that work with Cornell.

I can tell you for sure they're not. I have BC/BS and they are out of network.

If you have IVF coverage and out of network, you can submit the claim forms and get reimbursed

Re: Shot in the dark here
i actually called them a few days ago asking the same question. The answer is NO, one of them takes it for consult, but everything else is out of pocket.

Re: Shot in the dark here
You do get reimbursed for bloodwork and sonos during the cycle, which could give you a decent amount back.

Yes, as well as consults and any other office visits. Every little bit helps.

Re: Shot in the dark here
Dr Goldschlag takes BCBS and I only pay $20 co-pay each time I see him, he is a in-network doctor...all my proceduers with him are covered 100%
I maxed out my 20K infertility coverage but still get reimbursed about $7,500 out of the $11,400 for the cycle fee (with ICSI).
After each cycle I mail the claim forms and BCBS covers 100% all the sonos, bloodwork (during monitoring), ER (don't ask me how - I don't question! )..etc...the only thing that they don't cover at all is ICSI..
so at the end I usualy end up paying about $4K for the whole cycle (not including meds, those I pay 100% out of pocket)..
It's still not bad considering I maxed out my infertility coverage long time ago...the way Cornell codes the procedures (the IVF cycle) is great since they don't fall under infertility but are coded as a regular medical procedure...
I have the BCBS PPO Plus plan if that helps.....
GL!!

It's only an in network plan. Totally sucks.

You should still see about $3,000 back for BW and Sonos...
