Re: Shots this week..any tips
It depends on your DC. My DD was fine after but sleepy and ended up sleeping about two hours after the shots. When she woke up she got super fussy and got a fever so we gave her tylenol. She wanted to be held the entire time and kept crying/wimpering until it was bedtime.
In terms of tips: Make sure you ask your ped how much Tylenol you would give if your DC needs it. Also try to remain calm and look happy so your DC doesn't think something it wrong leading up to the shots.

Re: Shots this week..any tips
When we brought my DS for his first round of shots I didn't know what to expect. The doc. just asked me to take off his clothes to weigh him and then he gave him 2 shots. I felt so bad because he was on the table when he got them and cried like never before. After that he was fine no fever no reaction but every time he got his shots after that I made sure I held him and he reacted so much better.

Re: Shots this week..any tips
DS has never had a reaction to his shots (he is almost 5 months old). i never had to give him tylenol. he screamed for maybe a minute after each of his shots. i try to have a bottle ready for him to calm him down, and he usually sleeps for most of the day. he never even got fussy! i know i am lucky, lots of babies don't react that well to their shots.
i would have some infant tylenol on hand, and ask your ped how much to give if your DC has a reaction to the shots, but i wouldn't give any beforehand.
