should a 5 week old still be

sleeping almost all day? I think the new formula (nutramigen) is making her a zombie!! She wakes up every 3 hours to eat, stays awake for a half hour or so (if she doesn't fall asleep while feeding) and then back to sleep.

I should be grateful she's not screaming her head off anymore, but should she be sleeping so much?

enjoy it, they do sleep all the time at first, day and night. Soon she will be more alert and awake for longer periods. Take the naps while you can.

my daugter is 5 weeks and is up only a few hrs total during the day and a few hrs at night normally 4-6 am when i want to sleep so I am guessing it is normal every kid is different though my son was sleeping through the night at 5 weeks and was up more during the day

I wonder if there is any connection between the two. Does he pass ALOT of gas on the Nutramigen? Seems she does more now then before.
