Re: should i be concerned??
I've had a number of older dogs and I do know that their temperment changes as they age. Sometimes, it's just because of age; sometimes, they become more territorial; sometimes, there are underlying problems. She could be experiencing some aches and pains. If she is becoming a complete opposite of what she normally is, maybe, a trip to the vet for an exam would be wise.

Re: should i be concerned??
I wonder if she isin't feeling well. Sometimes very well behaved dogs will do this when they are under the weather. Has anything changed in her life recently? Do not show her any fear though, and if the behavior continues, reestablish your dominance with the "Nothing in life is for free" method. Which is starting from basics, she gets nothing, and can do nothing without an okay from you. If you need more info, I'll get you links.
I hope thouhg, this is just a she doesn't feel well thing, and she will be back to her good old self soon!!!!

my dog actually just did this a few weeks ago which was not normal for her. I took her the vet and sure enough, she was sick.
