Should I really be considering having a child with a 14 yo boy?

I don't usually post too much on ttc, but I thought I might share this story about dh.

I went to the Dolllar Store on Wed night to stock up on pg tests. So I bought like 7 tests (I would have bought more but i didn't want to buy up all they had). We got up to the counter and DH starts giggling Chat Icon and asking why I am buying so many, and then the 16 girl ringing me up starts giggling with him Chat Icon and the two of them just lose it laughing.

I told DH not to worry we won't be needing the tests anymore -- that shut him up real quick!

wow Chat Icon I would be VERY upset.
From now on, pick up the pg tests without him -- but I would definately talk to him about the maturity level.

That's what I was thinking...if my dh did that I'd probably fake punch him in the arm & tell him to stop it - while I was laughing at him Chat Icon

OMG my DH did a very similar thing to me at CVS. I think that's how guys deal with any kind of uncomfortable situation...they make a joke and hope that it eases their nerves. You should smack him in the back of the head, that's what I did! It's unfortunate that we need our DH's in order to get pg!

that is EXACTLY what Dave does when things get 'too serious' or he feels 'backed into a corner'...always cracks the joke! ALWAYS!!!!!!

I didn't think it was bad honestly, i would've laughed too....you have to have a sense of humor with this stuff or you'll go crazy! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I guess I have no sense of humor then Chat Icon cause I still think it is immature and rude...

I think if it was just me and him and he was laughing, it would be one thing, but for the stupid cashier to be laughing along with him Chat Icon

My DH does the same thing. Once at CVS I bought tampons and a hpt. You could tell the girl was Chat Icon but I ignored it. But not DH lol he just had to tell some lame azz joke about it. It was pretty funny. I learned to never buy both things together again lol.Chat Icon Chat Icon

He was just nervous and embarrassed I guess. The sight of him and the cashier giggling was mildly amusing, but i was still mad at him.

Sounds like something my DH would do!

Actually he'd probably go a step further and make a comment like, "She likes to be sure" - and then proceed to crack jokes with cashier.

Although I do think it was "unprofessional" of the cashier... I'm sure there's no formal traning in how to handle those situations, so I'd cut them both some slack - but that's just me! Chat Icon
