I could never cartwheel either. But I can do a split all the way down.

Should know how to do?
Change a tire
Make good coffee (I don't drink it, but when I have guests over I'd like to be able to make a decent cup of coffee for them. I have a Keurig - but feel like that's not really a "good" cup of coffee)

I cannot change a tire or do anything related to the car. I also cannot french braid, much to my daughters dismay.

Me too! And, I can never time things correctly so that the side dishes and the main dish are done at the same time.

Re: Should know how to do?
Sew. I hate that I can't sew and I have to ask my 81 year old mother to do it for me. I'm just too lazy to learn.

For those speaking of cartwheels.. I used to be able to do a perfect one as a kid and teenager I decided once to try it after age 40. I figured, I know how to do this, it's easy, let's go. Yeah, um, no.... For some reason it's not a skill that stays with you like riding a bike. Threw my back out and have had back issues ever since.. So the lesson here- don't' try it after 40.
Yes solid advice. Last year after hitting the breweries DH and I had a cartwheel contest. I could never cartwheel to begin with so why I thought I could bang it out now was a result of the hops I suppose. We were basically crippled for a week after that.

Do eye makeup other than mascara- yeah that's a no- I look ridiculous if I attempt it
Wrap a gift so that it doesn't look like a child did it...
Sew a button
all of this except i do sew.
i feel like when i put makeup on i look like whatever happened to baby jane

Re: Should know how to do?
Ride a bike.
My DH of 11 years just found out this past summer and is determined to teach me but I don't wanna!
I only got my drivers license at the age of 30 when I was pregnant with my first DD and moved to LI (lived in Queens before that).
I have used a sewing machine back in the day but I don't remember how to do it. Same with crochet, but I feel like I could do it with a refresher course.
I'm only NOW teaching myself to cook during quarantine. I'm loving it! I'm a picky eater so I love that I can modify recipes to my likes. I've made some really good dishes- DH said a few were like going out to a restaurant which made me proud as punch.
ETA: I know the mechanics of changing a flat or jumping a car, but I've never done it and don't think I would be confident enough to execute it properly.
I can't french braid either! My DD's hair isn't long enough to try it, I'm dying to learn though.
I can't do my eye make-up either. I've watched dozens of youtube tutorials and it's just beyond me.

That's how my husband got into cooking. I cooked more than he did when we met ( we were 23) & he was a picky eater & showed him how to "customize" things ( don't like mushy broccoli? use fresh, not frozen & cook it less, etc), now he is a much more adventurous cook than me.
